01 The challenge

Ingredient lists are long, technical, and easy to ignore. People want a quick, trustworthy answer in the supermarket aisle, not a chemistry lesson.

02 What we did

  1. 01Designed a scan-first experience that returns a single score with harmful, caution, and safe ingredients grouped underneath.
  2. 02Combined barcode lookup with GPT-4o Vision so products without database entries can still be scored from a photo of the label.
  3. 03Built subscriptions and paywall experiments with RevenueCat.
  4. 04Ran the companion content channel and App Store optimization in house.

04 Outcome

Revealia is live on the App Store, and its companion content channel grew past 60,000 subscribers without paid promotion.
